Born in the tropics of Central Philippines, Martin Ponferrada migrated to Australia in the early 90s. While studying, he worked as a red carpet cameraman and upon graduation wrote and directed several spec scripts and self-financed indies which have been screened in festivals all over the world. Accomplishments include the first place genre prize at the StoryPros Awards, third prize at the Domani Visionfest and more. "Upstream" represents Martin's first creative endeavour into animated filmmaking.
Currently based in New York City, Diane Villavieja is an independent film producer and actor. Films made under her producing credit have been selected to screen at the Cinequest Film Festival, the Sydney Indie Filmfest and others, with indie horror movie "Candiland" taking Best World Premiere at the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival. Outside film, Diane is an entrepreneur who has been featured in two business books: "Women on Top: Against All Odds" and "Wealth Diaries: An Entrepreneur's World."
